A timely event!

Trust and Confidence Rendering: Re-working Nigeria’s Financial Sector is a timely event at this critical moment. Issues relating to “The Genesis of the Crisis”, how we misplaced the key ingredient that drives the sector, what role can consumers, investors, regulators and other operators play in helping to restore confidence? How should the banking sub-sector be reworked to avoid another possibly worse systemic quake of our social and economic organization? How can the insurance sub-sector instil confidence of the Nigerian population in optimising inherent benefits of insurance in a very dynamic environment? How can the investor’s confidence in the capital market be rekindled? These and more critical questions would be addressed at the event holding in Lagos, Nigeria on March 10, 2010.

Objectives:

The objectives of the Trust Policy Rendering (TPR) Program for Nigeria are:

(i)  Re-engineering the trust component of the financial system
