
The recent intervention by governments in bailing-out some of their ailing financial institutions is a welcome development. AME&T Group’s Financial Trust Index is designed for Africa and will measure how Africans trust their financial services industry– operators, regulators and stakeholders. It will coordinate consumers trust level and confidence in the public and private instituions on how their finances are managed. The index is a quarterly evaluation, analysis and calculation based on a sampling of about 500 Africans in the diaspora and those living in Africa.
