Dr. John HEPTONSTALL

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

John HEPTONSTALL, DBA.

John has a long and varied background in management education and training. He worked for 16 years at the IMI, Geneva, and held the posts of MBA Program Director and subsequently Chairman of Faculty. He was for many years a visiting professor at the IMD in Lausanne and at Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management. He has also been a program Director at Ashridge in England. He was also for some years a non-executive director of John Wiley & Sons, international publishers.

John’s interests embrace corporate strategy and governance, macroeconomics, banking and international finance. He has spent periods of academic leave as a resident consultant in the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and has designed and conducted executive seminars for a wide variety of banks and companies including Alcan of Canada, ANZ Bank, Commonwealth Bank, the Bank of Montreal, UBS, SKF of Sweden and KONE OY of Finland.
